Hi - I'm Jared!

I’m Deputy Head of Maths at a high-achieving secondary school in South Wales, where last year 94% of our A Level students achieved A* or A. I’ve been teaching maths for over ten years and have also worked as a private tutor for the past five, supporting students one-to-one alongside my classroom teaching. I currently teach GCSE, A Level Maths, and A Level Further Maths.

Additionally, my experience as an examiner for AS Pure Maths and for the Level 2 Additional Maths qualification gives me first-hand insight into how exams are marked. By attending examiner conferences, I’ve gained a clear understanding of what examiners are looking for — knowledge I use to help my students reach their full potential.

I hold a degree in Mathematics and a Master’s in Education, and because I’m still actively teaching, my tutoring is always current, effective, and based on the latest methods and ideas.

When I’m not teaching, you’ll usually find me on long walks with my dog, Gatsby (he's the one in the middle!), or working towards my Master’s Degree in Psychology.
